All aboard to Millbank to see Steve McQueen, Year 3 at Tate Britain.
Steve McQueen's Year 3 deconstructs 21st Century London citizenship through the vehicle of the traditional school class photograph. By shooting class photographs of over 70,000 Year 3 pupils across the capital and combining them into a single large-scale installation, the Turner Prize-winning artist and Oscar-winning filmmaker has created an ambitious visual portrait of citizenship in one of the world’s largest and most diverse cities.
