Uber Boat by Thames Clippers is introducing a new Cross River fare from Monday 5 September 2022, that will allow for quick, easy, and affordable transport across the River Thames.
Utilising existing Uber Boat by Thame Clippers routes, the new ticketing option provides quick and cost-effective crossings between the following piers:
The £3.80 Cross River fare has been designed to encourage Londoners to take advantage of multi-modal transport and the city’s infrastructures to improve the way they travel through the capital. The new fare is available on the Thames Clippers Tickets or Uber apps, as well as when touching in and out with an Oyster or contactless card.
Uber Boat by Thames Clippers co-founder and CEO Sean Collins commented:
‘Our new Cross River fare will provide quick and easy travel across the Thames for pedestrians and cyclists. Our expanding service continues to play a vital role in London’s transport network, providing intermodal links and shows that the River Thames holds great potential as a transport route for Londoners and visitors to the capital.’
Uber Boat by Thames Clippers have also added six additional sailings on the RB1 Eastbound sailing service on weekdays. Operating from North Greenwich to Barking Riverside and calling in at Royal Wharf and Woolwich (Royal Arsenal), new sailings will depart at 06:00, 06:30, 07:00, 07:15, 07:30 and 08:00.
River Bus passengers enjoy travel in a spacious cabin, complete with great views and comfortable seats. Uber Boat by Thames Clippers vessels can accommodate up to 14 bikes allowing passengers to travel with their bikes, to facilitate the first and last miles of their journey.
